If there is a place that needs no introduction... that is good old New Orleans. No matter what time of day or what day of the week, this place is hopping. We were lucky enough to attend Jazz festival with a ton of rain, that quickly turned into a muddy madness. Do not leave without a beignet from Cafe du Monde. While in Louisiana, take a swamp tour on an air boat, and spot some alligators.
