South African no more

It is a bitter sweet day. I have heard this saying so many times, never really taking into consideration what that really meant nor what that would feel like. Today i can say i know exactly what this means and what it feels like. Today is the day that i will renounce my South African citizenship to the country that has been my home my entire life.
I had the privilege to represent my country on international level and that has been an incredibly proud moment in my life.
South Africa will always be close to my heart and i am entirely grateful for the person it has shaped in me.
